The Suicide of Rachel Foster is a FPP atmospheric adventure game developed by ONE-O-ONE GAMES and published by Daedalic Entertainment. The game is set in the winter season in Montana, USA. The main character in the game is a young woman named Nicole, who, after the death of her parents, returns to their hotel to fulfill her mother's last request. Ten years ago, her father had an affair with a certain teenage girl named Rachel which resulted in her moving out with her mother, and the girl committed suicide when she found out she was pregnant. Now Nicole, at her late mother's request, is to assess the condition of the hotel's deteriorating structure and then sell it. When the protagonist has examined everything, an old cell phone rings, which she decides to answer. A young man named Irving, who is an employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, introduces himself on the line. He warns Nicole not to leave the hotel due to severe weather conditions. The woman decides to ignore this, but unfortunately she fails to open the garage door because it has frozen over. Nicole is forced to stay in the hotel until the weather improves. By the way, with Irving's help, she decides to take a closer look at the mystery between her father and Rachel. The truth turns out to be much more surprising than everyone assumed.
