Building the Airfix 1/48 P-40B Warhawk (A05130)

In this video, I build the Airfix 1/48 scale P-40 Warhawk. I show techniques such as brush painting acrylics, glazing, post-shading, fading effect, decal application and enhancement of details.

P-40B Warhawk flown by 2nd Lt. George Welch, one of the few United States Army Air Corps fighter pilots able to get airborne to engage Japanese forces in the attack on Pearl Harbour.

47th Pursuit Squadron, 15th Pursuit Group, Wheeler Field, Oahu, Hawaii, December 7th 1941.

Scratch-made lap belts using masking tape and fine wire.
Antennae wire made using elastic EZ-line.
Brake lines added using braided thread.
All gun barrels drilled out.
