Myanmar’s military junta, which seized state power through a coup, has announced that it will ease blacklist restrictions on government employees who participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM). According to reports, the regime has issued an invitation urging former civil servants to return to their positions, claiming amnesty for those previously blacklisted due to their nonviolent resistance.
Meanwhile, Kim Aris (also known as Ko Htein Lin), the son of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, has once again called for the release of his mother and all political prisoners.
