Feasibility of Saffron cultivation in Punjab || Crop Reformer

In this brief video, feasibility of Saffron cultivation in Punjab Pakistan has been highlighted. Saffron is a high value crop. Total production of saffron in the world is 300 tons in a year. Iran, India, Spain and Greece are the most important major growers of this valuable crop. Iran alone produces 88% of the total saffron produced in the world. Some areas of Baluchistan province of Pakistan, that are adjacent to Iran and have the same conditions are able to produce saffron. Price of saffron is more than 1 Lac per kg. We should try to cultivate it on experimental basis in different areas on small scale so that we can find the feasible and suitable areas to cultivate this precious spice.
