‘Indian Scriptures in the Light of Sri Aurobindo’ is a workshop facilitated by Dr Sampadananda Mishra. It took place in 2017 at the Madhuban campsite, Talla Ramgarh, Nainital district of the Uttarakhand state.

Sacred scriptures are a part of the Sanskrit literature which form the bedrock of Indian culture and spirituality. To approach the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Gita not from a scholastic point of view, but rather to understand their living message in the light of the teaching of Sri Aurobindo is the aim of this workshop, which deals with both the philosophy of these scriptures and their symbolism. Understanding of some of the significant words, verses and stories mentioned in these scriptures helps to appreciate the significance of the Vedas, Upanishads and the Gita in the modern day and how they can guide us in our day-to-day living.
