Look no further for an easy DIY garden project! This video will show you how to build a raised bed. This design can be paired with a mesh screen to prevent rodents or pests and an insect screen to keep bugs out as well.

You may make the raised bed any size or shape you choose; this video uses a 2' x 4' box as an example. 2" x 8" boards are used for the box and 1" x 4" boards are used for the lid. Many hardware stores or big box stores will cut these to your preferred size but if not, you can use a hand saw or circular saw. It's standard to use screws that penetrate 1/2 of the board you're securing.

U-clamps, hardware cloth (mesh), handles, hinges, lid stay, and latch can all be found at a local hardware store. 10mm u-clamps will fit the support rods for the listed insect netting. Slightly larger sizes can be used if you fold them over and place two per support on each side of the lid to prevent them from shifting.

If you don't have a staple gun, you can use screws with washers to secure the wire mesh (hardware cloth) to the bottom of the raised bed.
