This song is the titel song of our new album "Growth". It represents the topic of all songs I wrote on this album because each and every song describes a part of my personal growth as well as our growth as a sociaty. We all go through our ups and downs in life...but it is our saddest and hardest times that help us to grow the most. Very often we can look back and witness the process of our growth from those times...as I did when I wrote this song years ago with Felix Justen. I remember the moment vividly: I had just come back from a trip to Paris where I was taught a lesson of self-worth that I had lacked before. Felix and I were invited to my brother for one of his kids' birthday party and Felix said:"Let's go to a quiet spot...I composed a new piece you might like." He played it and I immediately came up with this song....this is what I wrote:


Growth

It might really hurt sometimes

But it's your soul that cries
