It was a pretty chilly day on Citadel station and the light was variable - low sun and occasional cloud cover plus sunset at around 4pm.

Plenty of variety with 90s, 70s, 68s and 66s. I thought that no class 88 would turn up but eventual a pair then a singleton unit came along. It seems strange seeing a pair of bi-mode 88s on the Hunterston to Sellafield nuclear flasks when most of the route is not electrified.

The Dalston flask trains are now running to a later schedule than before meaning I caught two out of the three sections.

A highlight was 6K27 heading to Crewe Basford Hall Sorting Sidings Middle - a 66 and engineers 4-wheel wagons entirely in EWS livery, 13 years after DB started rebranding!
