There's a common mistake that Christian apologists make when arguing for the historicity of Jesus' resurrection. They will pile on more and more evidence that the disciples believed in the physical, bodily resurrection. But they leave out further details for the disciples' reasons because they avoid defending the Gospel accounts. The four Gospels give us the most detailed accounts about how Jesus' resurrection was physical, but if we can't argue that they're not embellished, we've hamstrung our own argument. We need a stronger approach than the minimal facts.
