The long-awaited 2nd season of Re:Zero is finally here, and with it comes another amazing opening theme song - "Realize". This is my favorite OP of the season so far.

Like many others who haven't read the light novel, I'm very shocked by the beginning of the 2nd season. Has Subaru not suffered enough yet? :'(

My favorite thing about this song is how it repeats the falling motif (D-C-A) from the beginning:
(0:01) Played by synths in sixteenth notes, on D-C-A
(0:33) Played by strings in eighth notes, on F-E-C
(1:48) Sang by backing vocals in dotted eighth notes, on F-E-C
(2:45) Again sang by backing vocals, this time on D-C#-A
In the same spirit, I added my own variation at 2:36 by repeating the first 2 bars of the song, but in B minor instead of D minor.
