Sedwill is a British civil servant, who served as Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service from 2018 to 2020. His resignation last month was the subject of huge public interest, amid rumours of tension between the Cabinet Office and Number 10 surrounding COVID-19 and proposed Civil Service reforms.
