In my clinic, I see a wide range of conditions — from simple cases like allergic rhinitis to more serious ones like cancers.

In children, common problems include tonsillitis, allergic rhinitis, ear wax, and ear discharge. But sometimes there are also bigger concerns such as lumps in the neck or salivary gland growths, which need an ENT surgeon to identify if they are harmless or something more serious.

In adults, cases are often more complex. Patients may come in with sinusitis, tinnitus, postnasal drip, pharyngitis, or airway and sleep problems like obstructive sleep apnoea. Some may have nose issues such as deviation, polyps, or chronic sinusitis. Others may have ear conditions like hearing loss, ear polyps, or chronic blockage.

More complex problems include thyroid swellings, voice disorders, or neck lumps, which could be benign or malignant. That’s why it is important to examine each patient as a whole, to decide whether the problem is simple or whether it could be something more serious hiding behind the symptoms.
