Today we have one of the most iconic yet also quite affordable vintage watches on the bench, a Universal Genéve Polerouter Date from the late 1960s. Initially released as the Polarouter in 1954 with a bumper automatic movement, it was the microtor models that became the most celebrated ones and that most people associate with the Polerouter today. The one we have here has the fabulous 1-69 movement inside it and is in very fine condition, but there are a few things that need our attention...
