In this video, I will show you how to transpose data in Google Sheets (flip rows and columns).

There are two ways you can do this in Google Sheets:
1) Using the in-built TRANSPOSE formula
2) Copying the data and transpose it while pasting it

Both of these are easy and fast ways and only take a few clicks.

When you use the TRANSPOSE function, it gives you the transposed data immediately and this data is dynamic. This means that if you change anything in the original dataset, it will automatically update it in the transposed data.

When you the Paste Special method to transpose the data in Google Sheets, it gives you a static copy of it. This means that if your original dataset changes, the transposed data would not update. You will have to copy and transpose the original data again in case you need an updated version of it.

You can use both of this method to transpose data from row to columns or columns to rows. The steps remain the same in both cases.

Also, when you use the TRANSPOSE function, it gives you an array and you can not delete an individual element of these arrays. For example, if you want to delete just one cell from the transposed data, you won't be able to do it. You would have to delete the entire dataset.

With Paste Special method, it copied and pastes everything, including values, formulas, and formatting. As of recording this video, there was no way to just copy and transpose the values and not the formatting or formula.
