An uncommon Caro-Kann (Breyer Variation) ⎸Road to GM, Game 11

I faced a slightly higher rated opponent in round 2 (after my horrible loss in the first round). I believe he knows I play the Caro-Kann, so what he played might have been preparation. After c6, he went for the Breyer Variation (d3). I don’t know the theory of the variation well, in fact, I only know the first move, which is e5, so I decided not to go into the main line. I chose a slightly inferior continuation but managed to get a playable position.

A after the opening we got a complex middlegame in which I had to trade in order to equalize (which the engine confirmed, I forgot to turn it on at the end of the video). After we traded queens and all the pieces but the dark squared bishops it was completely equal and neither side could really push for a win. 0.5/2 so far, not a great start. I have to concentrate more and start finding some winning moves!
