This video discusses the relationship requirements for UK spouse visas in 2024.

This is an important requirement that must be met for each of the UK partner visa applications up until, and including, Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).

Please note: The first requirement not discussed in this video is that the applicant and sponsor must fall within the definition of a partner in the Immigration Rules which includes:
-Married partners (including those who were recently granted a UK fiancé(e) visa);
-Civil partners (including those who were recently granted a proposed UK civil partnership visa)
-Unmarried partners (those who have been in a relationship similar to marriage or civil partnership for at least two years before submitting the FLR(M) online application).
-Fiancé(e)s or proposed civil partners

For those applying as a married or civil partner, the marriage (or civil partnership) must be legally recognised under the laws in force of the country the marriage or civil partnership took place.
