Описание к видео How to Sew a Coffee Cup Sleeve, Cozy, Koozie, Stubby Holder | Janome 8200QCP Sewing Machine

Learn how to sew a coffee cup sleeve, cozy, koozie, or stubby holder. The nice thing about this coffee cup sleeve is that it has no fasteners. No velcro. No buttons. No snaps. It's a custom sized coffee cup sleeve.

✂️ INSTRUCTIONS:

You can use the same fabric for both sides of the reversible coffee cup sleeve or two different pieces of fabric. I recommend using quilting cotton fabric.

1. Fuse interfacing to two pieces of fabric back.
2. Cut two patterns out of the two pieces of fabric.
3. Take one of the pieces of fabric and fold right side together, so that the short ends line up. Pin or clip to hold in place. Machine stitch 3/8" seam.
4. Repeat with the other piece of fabric.
5. Turn one of the sewn pieces right side out. Fold fabric in half and mark the center (opposite the seam). Insert the sleeve into the other sleeve. Line up the center mark with the seam of the outer sleeve. This will keep your seems on opposite sides, reducing the bulk.
6. Pin the top of the sleeves together. Make sure you have right sides together. Then stitch using a 3/8" seam.
7. Open up the sleeve so both sections are right side out. Folder under the short edges 3/8" and pin in place. Use your iron to press folds. Once pressed, you can remove the pins.
8. Turn one of the fabric pieces to the inside so that wrong sides are together. Finger press the side seams flat. Line up the bottom folded edges and pin or clip together. Top stitch 1/8" from the edge. This will secure the two fabrics together and close the opening.
9. Top stitch 1/8" from edge along the top of the sleeve.
10. Press to finish your coffee cup sleeve.
