ARE YOU JUICING? Preserving the Fruit Harvest

Hey, it's Rachel from the 1870s Homestead, and I'm super excited to show you how I juice mulberries. We have a massive mulberry tree on our property, and I couldn't bear to see the delicious berries go to waste. I demonstrate how easy it is to harvest mulberries by simply shaking the tree and collecting them on a tarp. After washing the mulberries to remove any impurities, I use a steam juicer, which is my go-to tool for preserving fruits when I'm undecided about what to make. The steam juicer efficiently extracts the rich mulberry juice, which I can use for making syrups, jellies, desserts, or even adding to drinks.
