Today I'm going to tell you how to track raw materials during your batch manufacturing process. These tips will help you minimize waste, increase production yield, and streamline ordering from your vendors.

The first thing I have to do when trying to streamline any process or solve any problem in a warehouse is that I have to wrap my head around the customer's existing process. Their process is as follows; they receive goods from their vendors, label each pallet, and store the product in a bin location manually. When picking the customer normally has to find each item using their eyes, and then pick the product from the bin by hand. This manual process in both picking and receiving makes tracking inventory almost impossible.

This is because the distributor will have to spend significant time picking product, they will have constant product out of stocks, and tremendous loses in production yield.
