Star Citizen 3.23.1 - Tutorial - Scanning

There are lots of reasons you might need to scan. You may need to know the likely position of a hostile ship that just flew out of targeting range. You may need to find a hidden satellite. You may be looking for salvage. The most common reason is you are looking for something to mine.

This video give you the run down on how to scan from a ship not specialised in scanning. No special equipment needed. I expect people will want to try surface mining using a rented Cutlass Black or Prospector. This tells you how.
