Felling Trees for Sawmill Logs | Cutting Trees with a Razor Sharp Chainsaw

Описание к видео Felling Trees for Sawmill Logs | Cutting Trees with a Razor Sharp Chainsaw

The weather is beautiful but the bugs are brutal today on Sawing with Sandy. I'm holding true to my channel name today by felling trees for sawmill logs with my Husqvarna 555 auto-tune. I like finding time to get out into the bush to make some sawdust as it's like a form of stress-relief. That is of course until the trees decide to fight back and the stress-free time in the woods becomes anything but that. After tuning up the edge on my Husqvarna 555 I show you exactly what a razor sharp chainsaw looks like cutting red pine in this video. Boy this thing is a weapon when it is sharp. The chainsaw chaps are done up tight today with this saw running full-bore. Having a red pine plantation available to cut sawmill logs from is a real blessing as these trees are pretty much dead straight and have very few limbs. In today's video I also make use of a pulley system and my ATV winch to bring down a tree that hangs up on another adjacent tree. Cutting trees in tight forested areas like this often causes these hangups and so having rigging available to finish the job is nothing new to me. Hope everyone is well out there. Happy cutting!
