Vasant Panchami is celebrated in many states of India as a Spring festival, as Sarasvati Devi’s birthday and as Madana Panchami. Celebrated mainly in East, West and Central India, this is a heralder of the spring season. It has been celebrated for millenia in the indian Sub-continent and by hindus in other countries too.

Some of these festivals, while widely celebrated in some states are quite unknown in others. My endeavour is to bring to you the flavours of all these festivals to help you learn a little about all these traditions and the history behind them.
