He emphasized that the law applies to everyone, regardless of their status.

One performer at the party, who chose to remain anonymous, defended the event, stating, “We are normal people doing what we want legally. No one disrespected us. I don’t understand the hype.” The performer added, “We danced, handed out drinks, and did magic... everyone had a great time. This controversy started just because it was Lamine Yamal’s party.”

Carolina Puente, head of ADEE, called the situation “absolutely unacceptable,” emphasizing that in the 21st century, individuals with dwarfism should not be used merely for entertainment or to attract attention at private parties. She noted that when influential figures engage in such practices, the impact is amplified, sending a disturbing message that discrimination is acceptable or trivial.

The birthday party also gained attention after Yamal shared a video on social media displaying him driving without a seatbelt at the end of the celebration.

Additionally, there were reports of women being offered fees to attend the event under specific physical requirements. Claudia Calvo, a model who declined the offer, claimed she was asked to recruit twelve additional women who matched “very specific physical standards,” including looking for blondes with particular body types.
