I think there are so many more culture shocks that I experienced and still experience after moving to Sweden and honestly it was the case everywhere I moved 😂

But this version of pie has to the best part of the food. For people who are intimated by baking this is the easiest thing to make and honestly it tastes DELICIOUS. it’s usually made with apples this season but I tried a plum version out at a friends place a few weeks back and had to make my own version.

You can bake it a bit less to avoid the plums getting too soft but I liked it at this texture where it was soft but not mush. You can also not add any of the excess liquid that occurs while “marinating” the plums to avoid an overly saucy pie. In Sweden it’s served with vanilla sauce but if you can’t find it ready or aren’t willing to make it, cold vanilla ice cream works so well too!
