Solved my dog's water bowl issues...
I have a 1.5 year old St Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix who is an indoor dog. She has always been weird about her water and I struggled to find a water bowl she would consistently drink out of. We also have a cat who chooses to share a water bowl with our dog. After reading reviews for this bowl I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a more expensive bowl. It was a great decision! My dog has consistently drank out of this bowl for few months now without getting weird about it. The cat also loves it. It's also a great size for my larger dog.

All the other reoccurring review themes I found to be true -- it's quiet unless the water level gets low, then it sounds like you have some water feature in your house (I use this to let me know when the bowl needs more water). If your home is perfectly quiet this bowl may annoy you, but figuring I have kids, a noisy HVAC system, and a fish tank I find this bowl to be super duper quiet. Also, the lack of a water level line is a little annoying. I placed a yellow Nerf Rival bullet in the hole the cords exit out of to help prevent any leaks from overfilling. This yellow ball also provides a visual to know when the bowl is at max capacity.
