When a chance to ride in a massive Chevy convertible from the 1970's comes along, you take the ride. There seems to be a bit of dispute over when the convertible was discontinued. My source, "Fifty Years of American Automobiles" by Consumer Guide doesn't show any production of this convertible after 1975.
