Kayak camping the Petawawa River in Algonquin Park - Ep 1 | Was bringing a kayak a mistake??

Just as spring turned to summer, I set out alone on a week-long adventure down the Petawawa River in Algonquin Park. I started in Cedar Lake, and I finished in McManus Lake. I decided to go with a cross-over whitewater kayak instead of a canoe, which is by far the more popular choice. I choose a kayak with the hopes that it would allow me to run a lot more of the whitewater and avoid many of the long portages. If that didn't turn out to be the case, the portages ahead would be harder than ever...

This episode follows my first two days on the upper section of the Petawawa, through some long lakes and big whitewater. This is all new territory for me.
