A state-of-the-art restaurant and brewery is under construction in Chicago’s south suburb Homewood. The project has a special significance to the owner Carmela Wallace.

Homewood used to be home to Wallace and her son, Jarad Higgins, who was known to the world as rapper Juice WRLD. Even after international fame, this community remained a special place for Juice WRLD. He passed away in 2019, and Carmela chose to honor him with the creation of Homewood Brewing Company.

Built in the same location that once housed Bogart’s Charhouse, Carmela wants the new brewery to become Homewood’s go-to hangout spot. With the help of her other son, Brian, and CrossTown Design, they’ve laid out plans that include an innovative brewing system, event space, rooftop garden, and more.

Powering Chicago electrical contractor, Linear Electric, was enlisted to help bring the ambitious project to life. They’ve installed a motor control center that will power the entire facility.

The 18,000-plus-square-foot Homewood Brewing Company is set to open in the spring of 2024. Join us as we give you an inside look at the project!
