BSP, the company formerly branded as Broadband Success Partners, has long been focused on executing technical due diligence and assessments for broadband-related M&A and other types of transactions in the cable, fiber and wireless arenas. The firm has since expanded into the data center market, an area that's getting a lot of attention thanks to the rise of AI infrastructure which requires a quantum level leap in compute, power and cooling capabilities.

Those rising power needs are reaching a critical level. After all, it wasn't so long ago that DigitalBridge CEO Marc Ganzi warned that data centers could face a power deficit within a couple of years.

Misty Duckworth and Randy Kinsey, both project directors at BSP, join the Light Reading Podcast to explain how the company has zeroed in on the data center opportunity and to discuss the broader and evolving data center landscape. That includes retrofitting and renovating existing "brownfield" data centers to handle AI applications, equipping new data centers for those capabilities and assessing what kind of powering and cooling are necessary.
