You can use this enhanced version of the paperback to further connect with your children. Here are 5 points of reference and questions you can use to deeply engage with your children and students:

1. Visiting someone's house or apartment.
-How does the Penguin alert the boy that he is at the door? Do you knock on doors or push a bell? How do you enter your house with a key or a secret number?

2. A lost item
-Have you ever lost something that was special to you? What was it? How did you feel? Where did you look for it?

3. Sleepless nights
-The boy cant sleep during the cold night. Why do you think he can't sleep? Do you have any tricks to help yourself fall asleep? Please share them.

4. Storytelling
-The boy tells the penguin many stories while on their boat journey. The Penguin is a good listener. Are you a good listener? Whose stories do you enjoy listening to the most?

5. A new friend
-The boy and the penguin eventually become friends. Tell me about a new friend that you made or an old friend that you have. What do you have in common? What are some of their good qualities?
