In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, players take on the roles of their favorite Marvel characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Thor, Captain America and Hulk, who team up to take on some of Marvel's most dangerous supervillains, including the devious Doctor Octopus, the dastardly Green Goblin, the ruthless Red Skull, the diabolical Venom, Thor's deceptive brother Loki, and the Eater of Worlds Galactus. The game includes over 100 playable characters to unlock, including Mystique, Elektra, the Mandarin, Silver Samurai, Malekith, Aldrich Killian, and Super Skrull. Also included are a variety of excellent bonus characters such as the Guardians of the Galaxy, Punisher, Captain Britain, Squirrel Girl and Deadpool.

Among the characters in the game is Stan "The Man" Lee himself. Players can save him from deadly dangers and unlock him as a playable character with superpowers.

For the first time in a LEGO game, it's also possible to hit the bricks harder than ever with the new, oversized LEGO figures like Colossus, Lizard, Juggernaut, Blob, Red Hulk, Iron Man's Hulk buster suit, Rhino, the blue-eyed thing, and more.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes gives players the opportunity to show off their super skills as they wield weapons such as Captain America's shield, Thor's hammer and Hawkeye's bow - whether in comic-book action sequences or epic battle scenes. They also get to know the superpowers of different characters, e.g. magical powers as Doctor Strange or shrinking to microscopic size as Ant-Man or Wasp - and much more. Together with Professor X or Jean Grey, they learn the power of mind control or sharpen their claws as Sabretooth, Black Panther or Beast to search for hidden objects in the ground. Of course, they can also whiz through the city as Ghost Riders or other lightning-fast characters on motorcycles and compete in exciting races.
