The expansion more than doubles the size of our Element5 St. Thomas plant from 130,000 square feet to over 350,000 square feet. It also also doubles our production capacity from 50,000 cubic meters annually to 100,000 cubic meters annually of cross-laminated timber (#CLT) and glued-laminated timber (#Glulam) products.

Element5’s growth is reinforced by a strategic investment from parent company, the HASSLACHER group, one of Europe’s largest and most innovative timber producers.

Victor Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade, addressed a gathering at the Dennis Rd. facility:

“By ensuring strategic supply chains are developed in Ontario with Ontario workers, we continue to secure the province’s place as the single most competitive jurisdiction in the entire G7,” said Fedeli.
