In episode 109 of Whisky in SV, Joe and I did a blind tasting of two fresh cracks of E.H. Taylor Barrel Proofs: Batch 9 vs Batch 10. We were fully expecting Batch 9 to be the winner based on research conducted by Joe which indicated Batch 9 is a special one. Also, Joe had previously compared Batch 10 to Batch 12 and significantly preferred Batch 12. However, to our surprise, on this occasion, we both had a significant preference for Batch 10. It was a fun episode to make and one of the first and only times I did a fresh crack during an episode instead of going through my usual OCD process of using a turntable!
