A visit to two side-by-side aviation attractions that are located near the University of Maryland campus in College Park. One is the College Park Airport, which bills itself as "The Oldest Continuously Operating Airport in the World" and it was originally founded as a military demonstration site for Wilbur and Orville Wright. (Yes, they are the same Wright brothers of Kitty Hawk fame.) Located next door to the airport is the College Park Aviation Museum, which features vintage airplanes, exhibits devoted to women and people of color who managed to work in the aviation industry despite encountering frequent prejudice, and hands-on interactive exhibits. This place is definitely for aviation lovers.
