BUMPED APP REVIEW | BETA VS. VERSION 1.0 | GET STOCKS FOR FREE BY SHOPPING

The concept of the Bumped App during the pilot was one that centered around brand loyalty. In other words, user’s would identify one brand from specified categories such as club warehouses, coffee, convenience stores/gas, entertainment, family dining, personal care, quick eats, ride sharing, department stores, airlines, grocery stores, home improvement, hotels/resorts, music subscriptions, online, pizza, superstores, and telecommunications. Your selection would signify your brand loyalty in Bumped. These selections could be changed once every 30 days and not more than 3 times a year.
The Bumped App used to be one of the Best Cash Back Apps around...and a great Passive Income Idea...but that's no longer the case!

In this video I talk about the Bumped 1.0 and how it has drastically changed from the pilot.

Gone are the days of selecting your loyal brand in each category. That is now replaced with what Bumped calls the “The Stock MarketPlace”. The app does continue to link credit/debit cards, but that is for the purpose of using the “Shop in store” function of the app.

The new version of Bumped provides rewards by using their “shop online now” button in the app, similar to how Rakuten works. You select the store and just shop as normal after launching the link in Bumped.

My criticism of the new version is that the shopping selections aren’t of the same quality as the pilot. Yes, there are more choices, but most are not in categories you could argue were regular expenses like the pilot version of Bumped. In this case, quantity isn’t greater than quality.

By contrast, in the pilot, you could get rewarded for shopping at Amazon, Target, Walmart or continuing to have your cell service through the likes of T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon.

Currently, I find the pilot version of the app far superior to the new Bumped 1.0 version despite there being more shopping choices. Yes, the pilot had limited choices for each category, but most of them were things that consumers used a regular basis. This translated into a passive income source.

At this time, I plan to hold off and wait and see how this newly launched version of Bumped evolves. Right now, with the changes that were made since the pilot, it appears the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. In summary, I suspect many on those on the long waitlist will be disappointed when they finally open an account.
