Chicken Biryani Recipe | Authentic & Flavorful Biryani at Home

Welcome to my channel! In today’s video, I’m sharing a step-by-step guide on how to make a delicious and aromatic Chicken Biryani. Perfect for any special occasion or weekend treat, this recipe brings together fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken, and a blend of rich spices to create an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients:

2 cups basmati rice

500g chicken (cut into pieces)

2 large onions (thinly sliced)

2 tomatoes (chopped)

1 cup yogurt

2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

2 green chilies (slit)

Fresh coriander and mint leaves

3 tbsp biryani masala

Whole spices (bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves)

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chili powder

4 tbsp ghee or oil

Saffron strands soaked in warm milk

Salt to taste

Instructions:

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

Cook basmati rice with whole spices and set aside.

Fry onions until golden brown and crispy, and set aside for garnish.

In the same pan, sauté the marinated chicken until half-cooked.

Layer the partially cooked chicken and rice in a heavy-bottomed pan, add saffron milk, and garnish with fried onions, mint, and coriander.

Cook on low heat (Dum) for 30-40 minutes for a perfect biryani.

Make sure to fluff the rice gently after cooking to avoid breaking the grains.
