Let's Learn the Constitutional & Political History of Pakistan.

Pakistan is a country in South Asia that gained independence from British rule in 1947. Its political history has been marked by periods of military rule as well as attempts at democratic governance. The country has a federal parliamentary system with a President serving as the head of state and a Prime Minister serving as the head of government. The current Constitution, adopted in 1973 and amended several times since, establishes a multi-party system with a bicameral legislature consisting of the National Assembly and the Senate. Over the years, Pakistan has experienced a number of military coups and democratic transitions.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Pakistan experienced a series of democratic transitions, with civilian governments being elected and removed from office through elections and military coups. In 1999, General Pervez Musharraf took power in a military coup and ruled until 2008, when he was forced to resign. Since then, Pakistan has seen a return to civilian rule, with democratic elections being held in 2008, 2013, and 2018.

Pakistan's current Constitution, adopted in 1973 and amended several times since, establishes a federal parliamentary system with a President serving as the head of state and a Prime Minister serving as the head of government. The country has a bicameral legislature consisting of the National Assembly and the Senate, and a multi-party system with numerous political parties representing a range of ideological viewpoints.
