I’ll guide you through using ultra-firm fusible stabilizer or extra thick fusible interfacing for a polished finish on both sides.

In this project, I’m using Legacy Fuse n Shape with Heat n Bond Lite between the fabrics, along with a special presser foot (SP-18 1/16") with a hinged guide to sew a perfect topstitch close to the edge.
The stabilizer and adhesive are both machine washable warm and low tumble dry. Also drycleanable.
