After looking at the song "A Diagnosis", I wanted to go back and analyze the whole episode where she is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. It's a common, but still stigmatised diagnosis, and one that I don't think we manage very well in psychiatry. Hopefully there are some helpful takeaway points here where I explain what it is, issues including splitting, the symptoms of borderline, giving the diagnosis and most of all, instilling hope that things can get better.
