Musaddas Hazrat Abu Talib & Musaddas Imam Ali - Razakaraan-e-Hussain | Naseem Amrohvi (1977)

Sardar bhai reciting two of Naseem Amrohvi's most renowned marsiyas, Haq ki tableegh ka paigham Abu Talib hain & Malik-e-masnad-e-tatheer o imamat hain Ali, at Zulfiqar-e-Haidery's shab bedari in 1977. Sardar bhai was one of Karachi's greatest nauhakhwans, fondly remembered for his repertoire in the musaddas format. He extensively recited poetry by Naseem Amrohvi, Payam Azmi, and Shahid Naqvi, among other leading poets. He was an excellent poet himself and often recited his own poetry as well.

There are several recordings of Sardar bhai reciting these pieces on Hazrat Abu Talib and Imam Ali separately, but in 1977 he recited them together to draw parallels between father & son. At the start he says he’s reciting narratives of Hazrat Abu Talib, Imam Ali, and Hazrat Abbas, but it seems he didn’t recite the piece on Hazrat Abbas. The cassette then goes to a musaddas on Janab e Zainab which I will eventually upload.
