I recently spoke with Whitney Anne Adams, the creative lead behind the look of Five Nights at Freddy's 2. We discussed what it's like to design for a world that blends two decades, all while keeping a massive, detail-oriented fanbase happy.



From Gatsby to Fazbear

Whitney's resume is basically a masterclass in versatility. Before she was diving into the "pizza parlor from hell," she worked on some of the most notable films in recent years.

Here are just a few:

Adams served as a design assistant under the legendary four-time Oscar winner Catherine Martin on The Great Gatsby, her first role.
For Freaky, she created that iconic, gender-swapping wardrobe for Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton.
Adams oversaw The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat: a massive period piece in which she managed over 1,000 background costumes.
