Intermodal Train Pulled By Only One Locomotive! A Few Railroad Crossing Gate Runners With CSX And Norfolk Southern Trains. Railroad Crossing With Cantilever Signals And Building Over 100 Years Old Next To 2 Main Line Tracks. Railfan Hangout In Lockland, Ohio. Close Look At Track And Find Out How Lockland Got Its Name. 7 Trains And A Long Hood Forward Locomotive.
Lockland, Ohio is just north of Cincinnati and sits in the Lockland Split of Interstate 75. The interstate has the north and southbound lanes separated with part of Lockland sitting in the middle. This is a great place for railfans to hangout on the Norfolk Southern Dayton District. NS trains operate on 160.980 as the main frequency. You can also monitor the train to dispatcher frequency of 161.100 and the EOT frequency of 452.9375. I spent the day here with a group of railfans. See the pic in the video. Everyone brought their own chair and we parked in the parking lot of a closed business, The Sugar Shack.
We got 2 CSX trains and 5 NS trains. This line is predominantly southbound running with trains entering Cincinnati for CSX Queensgate Yard and Norfolk Southern Gest Street Yard. To the west of here is the CSX line that is predominantly northbound. Scott told me that after I left within 25 minutes there were two more trains Lol.
