Los Angeles Metro Rail K Line, Full Ride Southbound, Expo Westchester, Kinki Sharyo, 4K Train Ride

Riding Los Angeles Metro Rail K Line Southbound (train model: Kinki Sharyo P3010) from Expo/Crenshaw Station to Westchester/Veterans Station (near Los Angeles International Airport or LAX Airport). This rail journey starts onboard the E Line (Eastbound to East LA) stopping at Expo/Crenshaw Station. At that station, I've transferred to the Metro Rail K Line (Southbound) that is located below the station.

As of 2023, the ridership of the K Line is below than expected (less passengers are using this line). However, after 2024, the ridership could increase drastically because of LAX Airport and several special events (that occurs in SoFi Stadium and other stadiums). In addition, Los Angeles’s logistic is ready to handle more visitors when Los Angeles hosts the FIFA World Cup (2026) and Summer Olympics (2028). Three Angelenos envision what Los Angeles would eventually become:

It's obvious that Los Angeles is a car-centric city (and will remain a car-centric city), but it is also friendly for domestic/international visitors to visit the city without a car. I'm glad that Los Angeles is investing building rail infrastructure that will benefit Angelenos and anyone that visits Los Angeles. That's a world class city.

Westchester/Veterans Station (at 17:10)**
As of 2023, K Line Southbound terminates at Westchester/Veterans Station. Around 2024, Metro expects to open the LAX / Metro Transit Center. At that station, Metro Rail passengers can travel to and from LAX Airport using the people mover.
