At New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan, President Droupadi Murmu will present the 71st National Film Awards 2025, celebrating the best of Indian cinema. Malayalam legend Mohanlal will get the country’s highest film honour, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, for his lifetime contribution. Tamil cinema stands tall with ‘Parking’ bagging Best Feature Film (Tamil), while its director Ramkumar Balakrishnan was awarded Best Screenplay. Veteran actor MS Bhaskar won Best Supporting Actor for Parking, and composer GV Prakash Kumar clinched Best Music Direction for ‘Vaathi’.
