Business & Family Vlog: Lessons Learned

In this video, we're preparing for a vendor event. This time, I decided to bring fewer items than I did for the last two events. I quickly realized that it's not necessary to carry so much. I'm learning to gauge how much to bring based on the type of event. This approach also helps us avoid overloading the car or needing to ask my brother for help, even though I know he doesn't mind. Although I didn't capture as many of the visitors who stopped by, I found some time at the end of the day to walk around and film the food truck vendors. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

*TO MY FAMILY*

We head to Mississippi for our Family Gathering, which I led with the support of my grandmother and uncle. Our last reunion was in 2018, and we would have held another in 2020, but, as we all know, life took an unexpected turn. My hope was to bring our family back together, especially since some of us have been apart for a long time. While I was saddened by the smaller turnout, I’m deeply grateful for those who did attend. Throughout this experience, I've further learned to appreciate the time we have on this earth and the importance of using it wisely, as we never know when it will be the last time we see one another in this lifetime. I guess what I'm trying to say is, cherish the people who mean a lot to you and give them their flowers while they’re here to receive them. We’re not getting any younger, and as our Matriarchs are still with us, it’s important that we find ways to come together more often as a family.
