Inspired by the Starlight Beacon space station during the High Republic Era, the Alliance initiated Operation Starlight. Deploying the Pathfinders of the Fourth Division to steal an ancient Autonomous Translator Module, Mark II droid from the Imperial Museum on Coruscant, C-3PO was able to use it to safely encode their transmissions in the extinct Trawak language. The newly formed Starlight Squadron was entrusted to deploy the codes across the scattered fleets; however, the Empire forced the Rebels to confront Commander Zahra and the Tarkin’s Will. Despite these efforts, the ensuing battle made it clear to Mon Mothma and the Rebel leaders that, in order to keep the Rebellion alive, their ships should remain hidden in small task forces. In the end, the Rebel Alliance managed to slowly regroup at the planet Sullust to stage their assault on the Second Death Star.
