Hi Fly A380 "CORAL REEF" FIRST Passenger Flight! - Take Off from Copenhagen Airport

There has been a lot of charter cancellations this Summer for various reasons. The Danish travel bureau Spies which is owned by Thomas Cook, were very desperate to get their passengers to their destination. This resulted in them wet-leasing the newly acquired A380 from Hi Fly, which is the first "second hand A380" to enter commercial service. The A380 with registration 9H-MIP was previously on a 10 year lease with Singapore Airlines, before being returned to the leasing company. The A380 which is only 11 years old, is the first of probably two A380s to be operated by Hi Fly.

Luckily for Hi Fly and Spies, Copenhagen sees daily A380 service and is capable of handling the aircraft. The destination Larnaca Airport is also capable of handling the A380.
