Women's Javelin Throw (Complete). Herculis, Diamond League, Stade Louis II, Monaco. July 9, 2021.

The Women’s Javelin Throw event got underway at 19:30 (local time) at le Stade Louis II in Monaco. On that day the Temperature range was 68°F - 81°F (20°C - 27°C). The stadium is located at Sea Level on the shore of the Mediterranean Coast.

Some Geography Side Note:

The official name of Monaco is the Principality of Monaco, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco is Albert II, and his parents were Prince Rainer III and American actress Grace Kelly. The Stadium Louis II is named after his grandfather Prince Louis II. The official language is French. The total area of the country is 2.1 km^2, it is the second-smallest sovereign state after Vatican City. It has a land border of 5.47km, and the world’s shortest coastline: 3.83km. The highest point in the country is where the palace is located: 164 meters Above Sea level.

The Stadium Louis II was originally built in 1939 and intended to be the home of Monaco’s football (soccer) team AS Monaco, The current stadium was opened on January 25, 1985, and it is also home to the Monaco National Football (soccer) Team, and the Herculis Track & Field (Athletics) Meet.

The event featured some of the best Female Javelin Throwers in the World, a total of seven athletes; six of the TOP ELEVEN. A Constellation of Stars. All Seven of them would be Tokyo-Bound, their World Ranking by World Athletics on July 6, 2021, is also listed:

Barbora Špotáková (Czech Republic), 2008, 2012 Olympic Champion; 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist; 2007, 2011, 2017 World Champion; 2009 World Championship Silver Medalist; 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 National Champion, 2010 European Championships Bronze Medalist; 2006 European Championships Silver Medalist; 2014 European Champion. This was just a summary, she has an impressive resume. Participated as a junior in International Competition in the Women’s 200m, 800m, 100m Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Heptathlon. Her PB=72.28m, her SB=61.38m.

Maria Andrejczyk (Poland), 2015 European U20 Champion; 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021 National Champion; National Record Holder: 71.40m (May 9, 2021). This summary includes her major championship distinctions. Her PB=71.40m, her SB=71.40m. Was Ranked 10.

Christin Hussong (Germany), 2011 World U18 Champion; 2013 European U20 Championships Silver Medalist; 2015 European U23 Champion; 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 National Champion. Her PB=69.19m, and her SB=69.19m. Was Ranked 2.

Elizabeth Gleadle (Canada), 2008, 2010 NACAC U23 Champion; 2015 Pan American Games Champion; 2019 Pan American Games Silver Medalist; 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 National Champion. Her PB=64.83m, her SB=63.33m. Was Ranked 11.

Nikola Ogrodníková (Czech Republic), 2007 European U20 Championships Bronze Medalist Heptathlon; 2018 European Championships Silver Medalist; 2018, 2020 National Champion. Her PB=67.40m, her SB=65.13m. Was Ranked 6.

Victoria Hudson (Austria), 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 National Champion. Her PB=64.68m, her SB=64.68m. Was Ranked 22.

In the new 2021 Diamond League Competition Format for the Javelin Throw, athletes compete in five preliminary rounds with the intention of obtaining a mark that would qualify them to the Final Three Round.

Final Three Qualifying

1. Maria Andrejczyk (Poland) qualified as 1st Placed with a Mark of 63.93m on her first throw (Round 1).
2. Christin Hussong (Germany) qualified as 2nd Placed with a Mark of 61.65m on her second throw (Round 2).
3. Barbora Špotáková (Czech Republic) qualified as 3rd Placed with a Mark of 60.68m on her first throw (Round 1).

So, the athletes go into the Final Three Round in reverse order, with the athlete in first position throwing last.
