Tune of the Week 28 - "Joe 'Crapaud'" from Acadian fiddler Robin LeBlanc

Описание к видео Tune of the Week 28 - "Joe 'Crapaud'" from Acadian fiddler Robin LeBlanc

Here's a super fun Acadian New Brunswick tune, "Joe 'Crapaud'" that I learned from the playing of Robin LeBlanc! I play it in AEAE tuning to get thos nice harmonies. Robin is one of the best Acadian fiddlers and his albums are really grails to old style Acadian tunes. If you like Acadian music at all, GET THIS ALBUM:

This tune is also on Robin's new album with his family, La Famille LeBlanc:

Here's Robin playing this tune from his album:

The tune's named for Acadian fiddler Joe "Crapaud" Chiasson and comes originally from New Brunswick fiddler Robert Lavoie who has an excellent YouTube channel:

I play the tune nice and slow at the end and break down some of the syncopation in the bowing to make this more accessible. Enjoy!
