City Surprised By Train Running Down Middle Of Street! Street Running Trains, Rare Stuff In Ohio!

Street Running Train In Franklin, Ohio! Train Is In The Center Of The Road! Cars and people are surprised to see a train in an unlikely place. Norfolk Southern is running long hood forward on the Franklin Industrial Spur. The huge locomotive gives plenty of horn while running backwards to deliver freight to the only customer using this street running section of historical track. We see a close up of the nearly hundred year old rail. The giant railroad bridge and street runner section of track in this video is down to its last customer. This line is used as needed. At one time it extended north across Ohio before being abandoned. About a 5 mile section of this line is now owned by Dupps but rarely sees a train and gets used less than a dozen times a year. See my Dupps Railroad video of the red Dupps locomotive pulling its train over a crossing in Germantown, Ohio. The Norfolk Southern local in this video took 2 covered hopper cars to the customer at the end of the spur and then returned light down the street less than an hour later. Per Google Maps the depot is Cincinnati Northern Railroad 1888. At the end of this video you can see the locomotive pulling a car through Carlisle on its way back to Dayton, Ohio.
This video also shows trains at a nearby crossing in Carlisle, Ohio. CSX and NS both come together for a short distance at the railroad crossing in this video. We see trains from both railroads at the crossing. Best frequencies are 160.980 for Norfolk Southern and 160.230 for CSX. Both lines have nearby defect detectors.
